 | I have this very severe acne problem and I have consulted a dermatologist for almost 4 months. The problem is that the scars remain on my face though the number of zits are getting lesser and lesser. How can I get rid of the scars? It is really debilitating. I'm already 22 this year. A pharmacist advised me to use collagen. Do u think this is a good idea ? |

| There is nothing very much that you can do regarding the scars from the acne. There is at present, no known medication you can take toget rid or lessen the scars on your face.

 | I have a teenage brother who is an asthmatic. He has had asthma for the last ten 10 years and he is 13 years old now. He complained that he has head-ache and coughing non-stop these past few days. Are these symptoms related to asthma?
Could you recommend some suitable exercises for him to do to help in his asthmatic condition? |

| The headaches and non-stop coughing could be related to asthma. He should be seen and examined by a doctor or chest physician.
Swimming is a good form of exercise for asthmatic patients. Slow, deep breathing exercises every morning in the garden, would be a useful exercise for people with chest conditions.

 | I'm a teenage female student who's taking my GCE "A" Levels soon. The thing is, I just feel that there is no meaning in life for me. Even though I am the only child in my family, my parents are more interested in running their business than looking after me. They don't love me at all and have no time for me. What's worse is that I am not doing well in my studie and ECA. I don't have any good friends and my class mates are not interested in mixing with me. What I am even more afraid of is t |

| You do not need to feel that you are alone in your situation. We suggest that you share your feelings and difficulties to someone. It is not good for you to keep things to yourself.

 | I really need a professional counsellor to turn to or I'll go crazy. Ever since I made friends with a "tomboy", everyone in school started calling me names like "lesbian" or "leslie". Everyone looked at me like an alien. I feel alienated in school. This problem is bothering me and I suffer more pain as now my secret admirer is starting to ignore me and think of me in the same way. Is it wrong to have a "tomboy" as a friend? Please advise or I'll commit suicide to prove my inocence...I'm de |

| It is definitely not wrong to befriend a "tomboy". I am sure your friend appreciates your friendship. As for your other friends' comments and criticisms about the friendship, you can choose to ignore their negative words. You may want to explain to your secret admirer that you are not a lesbian. You just want to be her friend. Never think of committing suicide because that is not the solution.
